Unlike a USB to HDMI adapter, Screen Share takes the HDMI output from a sharing device (for example, a laptop) and converts it to a USB input (for an in-room computer). A USB to HDMI adapter is designed to connect an external display to a computer, which may only have a USB video output (common with many newer laptops). Screen Share allows you to share your screen from one computer to another.
