CollabOS 1.10+supports external audio devices. This feature allows the use of Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini in a wider array of meeting room spaces. When enabled, the external audio device becomes the primary audio source, and the Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini speaker and microphone are disabled.
Before activating this feature, please ensure that the third-party audio devices can handle the audio processing and work appropriately in the room setting.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will Mute Sync and Volume Control work?
- Yes, we have verified that Mute Sync and Volume Control work for BiAmp, Shure, and Q-SYS devices. In some cases, it may be necessary to make changes in the DSP device settings/designer files.
- For other USB audio devices, these features will work, as long as they comply with the USB HID standard for audio control.
- Why am I seeing "This room is not available"?
- If you see the message "This room is not available," it could be because the built-in microphone and speaker are selected as the default for Zoom Room through Zoom settings or ZDM. Enabling External Audio will disable the built-in microphone and speaker and reboot the device. If Zoom's preferred devices are not present, the message "This room is not available" will appear.
- Why is audio processing unavailable on Rally Bar / Rally Bar Mini when external audio is enabled?
- If you are using Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini and external audio is enabled, audio processing will no longer be available. This is because the connected third-party audio devices should handle audio processing, such as echo cancellation and reverb. The internal microphone and speakers will be disabled when external audio is enabled.
