CollabOS Guide > 1. Getting Started > 1.3 Touch Controller & Remote Setup

CollabOS devices can be set up in-room, using on-device settings, or remotely using Local Network Access. This provides the flexibility to set up your new Logitech devices based on your policies.

Touch Controller

1. Configure your room using the Room Solutions Configuration Guide.
2. Once setup is complete, Tap/Tap IP will show the following screen. Here, you can set up basic information for the device such as:

• Country

• • Scroll down to find your country.

• Time Zone

• Language

• Local Network Access

3. Next, accept the Logitech end user license agreement.

4. Configure your network settings.

• Note:  This section will be skipped automatically if you are connected to a wired network using the Auto DHCP network. For more information on this step, see 2.1 Network Configuration - CollabOS Guide.

5. Set up Relay (for Tap IP only).

• With Relay, you can easily pair Tap IP with front-of-room CollabOS meeting devices like Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, and RoomMate. Relay lets you onboard and manage Tap IP and a connected device from a single interface. For more information on this step, see 3.1 Relay & PairingTap IP - CollabOS Guide.

6. Select video service provider.

• The video service provider will be listed depending on the device you are using. Choose your preferred provider.

7. Connect to Logitech Sync.

• Input the 12-digit provisioning code generated in the Sync Portal.

8. Confirm the device information you entered during setup.

• On this screen, you can see the device and room information, including network details, the device's MAC address, service provider information, and more.
• Connected accessories

• • A list of all connected accessories in the room will be listed.

• Equipment test

• • On this screen, you can test audio, video, and network before completing the setup.

Device Remote

1. Press the center button on the remote five times to set up the room using the remote controller.

2. Use your remote controller to navigate the interface.
3. Follow the same steps as Touch Controller Setup.

Disable Bluetooth

Logitech conference devices that come with a remote use Bluetooth for pairing. If you need to disable Bluetooth in your room setup, this will also disable remote control functions. We recommend using RightSight auto framing for the camera so that meeting participants are properly and automatically framed. Most video conferencing applications provide camera AV control via a touchscreen controller such as Logitech Tap or Tap IP.

1. On Logitech Tap or Tap IP go to “System Settings”

2. Touch “Connectivity”

3. Touch “Bluetooth”.  This will toggle Bluetooth on or off.

4. Touch “Back to settings” to return to the main settings menu.

Bluetooth is now disabled on your device.  

Note: When using RoomMate, the above will disable the Bluetooth only on RoomMate.  If the connected device (such as MeetUp or Rally) has Bluetooth, you will need to disable Bluetooth on that device separately.

Three Displays

CollabOS devices running version 1.8.711 or higher support the use of up to three displays with select service providers. With three displays, you can enhance your meeting experience by allowing you to display and view more content simultaneously. To utilize this feature, connect a USB-to-Display Adapter to your Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, or RoomMate device.

Prerequisite  

1. Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini running version 1.8.711 or higher, or RoomMate running version 1.8.574 or higher

2. Zoom Rooms set as the service provider

• • Disable the Zoom Rooms Device Operation Time for meeting rooms on which 3 display support is enabled

3. A supported USB-to-Display Link Adapter

• • Plugable USB 3.0 to HDMI Video Graphics Adapter - Model number: ‎UGA-2KHDMI

Setting up Three Displays 

1. Use HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 to connect Display 1 and Display 2.

2. Use the USB-to-Display Link Adapter to connect Display 3.
