What is the Script DFU 2.0 tool?

The Logitech Script DFU software is a tool to update firmware of supported devices. It is intended to be used by IT Managers and Administrators.

Changes from Script DFU 1.0

• Firmware update Support for future updates to the Bolt Receiver and Bolt paired devices.
• Changes the way of passing arguments on Windows from ‘--’ to ‘/’.
• Does not initiate the Firmware update for a device with critical battery status.

You can download the latest Mac or Windows version of Logitech ScriptDFU 2.0 from the Logitech Prosupport download page here.

OS supported: 

• Windows 7, 10 and 11 - 32 Bit and 64 Bit
• macOS:  Catalina (version 10), Big Sur (version 11) and Monterey (version 12) - 32 Bit and 64 Bit

Notes:

Parameters needed for updating Bolt firmware:

• --pop-up needed for Mac
• /pop-up needed for Windows

Windows: InTunes

• Install behaviour must be set to USER, not SYSTEM or users will not see the pop-ups (even if scripted in)

IMPORTANT:

Deployment type should be Install and Available, NOT Required.  This will prevent devices becoming unusable during critical work use.  For example if the client (user) is in the middle of a presentation, or critical work, they will lose keyboard input during the firmware update.
